Parka Sizing Guide
Please Read ALL of this page BEFORE ordering or contacting us with sizing questions...
OK, first things first, these things
come up BIG !!....If you are thinking that because
you wear XL in UK T-shirts that you
need an XL parka, you are very very
wrong :)...
For example; The
most commonly sold size in M-65 fishtail
parka, for the average guy of say
5ft 10- 6ft and around the 38-42 chest
region, is Small.
Yes i know, don't
be upset ! But unless you want a parka
you can put your family in, trust
me on this. Luckily the M-65's
are regular in their sizing, all sizes
ARE the same.
Whereas, with the M-51
you can forget what the label says
!! Sizing is NOT standard !!
Basically, you can line up and
measure 10 Medium Labeled M-51's
and have 10 completely different size
parkas !!..
So beware of anyone selling M-51 as labeled sizing i.e. Med or Large without giving you the exact measurements !!

The M-65 Fishtail Parka Sizing....
Note: There is no real difference between the original XS (Extra Small) and the S (Small) M-65 fishtail parka. All measurements are exactly the same. Albeit, 0.5 inch on the armpit measure hence, they are included together as Small....
NEW IN: To solve the above problem we are now...FINALLY !! ready to go with our own custom XX SMALL Fishtail Parkas, these are custom made from orginal M-65 stock and hand tailored down to a much smaller size. Hence, there is finally a truly XS parka now available !!....
Basically, if you
are average height and build, your
looking at a small and if
you're pretty stocky your looking at
a Medium. If you really are a monster
of a man or eat way too many pies,
you want a large or XL :)) Simple
:))...
Now
onto the Ladies....
Really its very simple....for one,
these are men's coats made in men's
sizing so if you are women's size 14 or
above then its plain sailing you will
find an M-51 or an M-65 to fit you
!!..
However, if you're
more in the 8-10-12 range or smaller,
then it can get tricky...
Luckily, good ole fishtailparkas.com has finally got something for the ladies (and you smaller gents).
We are now FINALLY ready to go with our custom sized M-65's with options for ladies size 10-12 and min height of 5ft7"....you can be shorter if you dont mind the parka being longer...Simply check the complete size guide above and run a tape measure down yourself to see where the tail will end.

Also, there is a handful
of M-51s made in much smaller sizes
which fit a women's size 10-12 perfectly.
The downside is, they are rare as
hens teeth and being the only genuine
US Mil Issue fishtail parka that will
fit size 10-12 you are not the only
women wanting one......so prices are
around the £350-£400 if
you are lucky enough to find one....Even
Kate Moss had to wait......!!
